My laptop is in my room and my brother is asleep, so I can’t play this right now, but it’s def on my list! Not gonna ask why it’s called Nine Slice, as I expect the gameplay has something to do with the nine-slicing technique, but why are there Nintendo Switch support controls? Are you trying to get this on Switch?

No, it just supports all controllers :)
The name is not terribly apt but it was a cute joke because you can grow up to 9x your normal size.

ah, ok. Thanks for responding! Still haven’t played it cause I forgot and the exact same problem happened again today XD Soon, though!

I LOVE this game!!! The "aha!" moment with it is amazing and everything just feels good. Way to go and hope everyone involved keeps it up!

I am so glad that you enjoyed the game!

Amazing game super cool awesome fun!! I love the mechanics and how they all tie into the level design

Plus the great but simple spritework that really pulls it together

Only things i would wish for are a more visible edit mode and fullscreen for desktop

I've been trying to think how to make edit mode more obvious. Any ideas? Fullscreen was something we didn't have time to add. Thank you so much!

Everything about the visuals and the audio I absolutely love, you guys did an absolutely incredible job at this! I will say that the gameplay itself is a bit on the odd side, as its a bit painful to continuously die and have to replace/gather the blocks over again, along with a few moments of difficult visual clarity. These can be fixed pretty easily though as this was a short jam, and the game itself is so unbelievably polished regardless. Very well done!

Very kind, thank you!

Ayyy I remember you from the big mode jam! Thanks for playing our game, and for the feedback as well. <3

Awesome

Thanks

I can’t wait to play it! ( if only my 2011 macbook sierra would let me )

This is so sad :( Simply buy a better computer to play the game ;)

In all reality it should load but the load times are huge for even a good PC.

This is a super creative idea and masterfully executed! Every puzzle introduces a harder concept, some puzzly and some platformery, best idea I've seen! The controls are pretty great but this could use more vibrant visual clues in the builder, when in a tight spot it's sometimes hard to see whether a block was placed/rotated or denied when the red X is missing. Finished the game and only then found out there's a level skip feature 😅

btw you can stand on a corner of the spikes in one of the last levels (when you have 4 purple blocks, 3 fans, and a rectangle, and jumping down as a full 3x3)

Thank you for the valuable insight and critique. Any pixel perfect-esque jumps are, while not intentional, okay with us because they are harder than the actual solution to the puzzle. Glad you enjoyed!!

This game is seriously fantastic. Super clever mechanic with great level designs that explore it in more depth. Outstanding work!

Thank you so much!

I like this game a lot but I have absolutely no clue how to get past one of the levels, so I was unable to finish it. The level you have barnacles shaped like a "Z" and there is a fan on the other side of a single spike jump.

Thank you for the complement. If a level is too difficult or confusing, you can  skip it by pressing  any jump button + 'P' or Select.

oh nice! didn't know that

Very epic

I concur.
